One of my poems was once taught in an English language class. Starting in a Whatsapp group, it was featured in the Standard newspaper through the Gourd of Consciousness. Thereafter, I was invited to ZiFM stereo on the show Backstage with Tsila.
It was the same poem opening these avenues. I am pleased to find the idea of gratitude resonate.
The title, Flowers, is derived from the Kanye West lyric,
“If you admire somebody, you should go ahead and tell them. People never get the flowers while they can still smell them”
